June – Bike of the Month
The bike that every teenager in the 1960’s wanted, the Triumph Bonneville. Our bike of the month for June features a beautifully prepared 1960 Bonneville. Owned by the present owner for 50 years this bike had been languishing in a garden, uncovered, for 40 of them. Now brought back to its former glory by a group of volunteers calling themselves ‘Team Friday’; they worked for two years to bring the bike to its present condition. Using mostly original parts and a new paint job they have brought this bike back to life and the iconic Bonneville blue over silver makes this one of the best we have seen. On its first trip out in 2022 it was taken to the Heritage Sprint at Lydden and won Best in Show.
Come to the museum to see this transformation and enjoy a day looking at many of the more than 80 other motorcycles in our collection.
