Kent Mining Heritage Museum at Betteshanger opened  on 2nd April after several years of planning and building.  The museum celebrates the vibrant life of the Kent mining communities and the enormous contribution made by the Kent Coalfield to the economy.  The museum contains many items donated by the Dover Transport Museum including these Tilmanstone Colliery rail cars which are displayed in the new museum’s main exhibition hall.  We were delighted to be able to play a useful part in celebrating Kent’s mining heritage.www.kentminingmuseum.co.uk
